Oxford Orthopaedics is a specialist orthopaedic practice providing treatment and care for bone and joint conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. The clinic brings together focused expertise across upper and lower limb surgery, while using minimally invasive approaches where appropriate.
At the centre of the practice is Dr James Wee Liang Hao, a dual fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience. He pursued advanced training at the Oxford University Hospitals and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, and specialises in Hip & Knee surgery as well as Foot & Ankle surgery, including bunion correction alongside other reconstructive and corrective procedures.
In addition, Dr James Wee is experienced in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery as well as other minimally invasive surgery (MIS) techniques. Because he is able to draw on different surgical techniques, procedures can be planned with greater precision and tailored more closely to what best suits the underlying condition, rather than subscribing to one fixed method across every case.
This is further strengthened by Dr Francis Wong Keng Lin, who leads Oxford Cartilage & Sports Centre and brings focused expertise in cartilage repair, regeneration, and sports injury related care within Oxford Orthopaedics. As Singapore’s only orthopaedic surgeon scientist with a PhD in cartilage regeneration, he also holds international standing in cartilage science and surgery, giving the clinic stronger subspecialty support when cartilage preservation or restorative treatment becomes a more central consideration.
Having performed over 500 cartilage repairs, Dr Francis Wong brings substantial experience to cases that call for closer evaluation of cartilage damage. This is especially important when the role of cartilage repair and regeneration in joint preservation needs to be considered more carefully in determining the best treatment approach.
At Oxford Orthopaedics, our specialists apply deep clinical knowledge, precision, thoroughness, and thoughtful evaluation to every patient, while delivering care with warmth and attentiveness. This starts with taking the time to understand the condition, its impact on daily life, what matters most to the individual, and which treatment path is best suited to their needs before any recommendation is made.
At every stage, the focus remains on relieving pain, restoring mobility, and supporting a safe and confident return to daily life.
Oxford Orthopaedics covers several core areas of orthopaedic practice, supported by specialists whose advanced subspecialty training and focused clinical experience help guide our patients towards the treatment options best suited to their condition.
